Hogar de Vida Orphanage

Hogar de Vida Orphanage is located Atenas, Costa Rica which is halfway between the airport

and Jaco Beach. The orphanage is situated on a 3 acre mango farm and has a large onsite staff

to care for the children from 6 months to 8 years old. Tim and Deena Stromstad have been

running the orphanage since 1994 and operate under a charter from the country of Costa Rica. They

are truly doing God's work as they help the children get the necessary love, care, and nurturing

they every child has a right to. They are funded by the government of Costa Rica but actively seek

Hogar de Vida was featured on the Fox Soccer Channel coverage of Costa Rica Cup 2006. The Fox film crew visited the children and "shed the light" on the great work being done by Tim & Deena.
